audio Fx for Under Milk Wood
Essentially a radio script, Under Milk Wood includes a several cues for sound effects. Some might be considered superfluous or expendable (as, for example, "Noise of money tills and chapel bells"), while others are essential to the story (as, for instance, "Door creaks open," when Mr Pugh is muttering about murder as he brings his wife tea).
André Corbeau, my capable sound designer, created audio files for all the cues in the script (the creaking door is perfect), as well as some others I requested: a dampgrotto sound as the Drowned surround Captain Cat (it's an odd one); clocks and more clocks for the Lord Cut Glass monologue; a yowling cat in the Beynon scene; noisy cows for Utah Watkins... I thought about throwing in a softly neighing horse (a couple of opportunities), as well as horses on cobbles, but I went with my first instinct: less is more.
Some of the clips are embedded below; please use them freely, but an acknowledgment is nice.
